LeadershipBOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Board of Trustees is made up of eight members, with four elected each year to two-year terms. The Board meets monthly along with the Minister, Director of Education, and Treasurer to ensure that the church, in its operations and expenditures, policies and long-range plans, is serving its stated mission.

STANDING COMMITTEES
Along with the Board, the Peoples Church has a number of committees that ensure the smooth operation of the church and/or the involvement of the church in the broader community. These Standing Committees are as follows:
- Adult Education
: plans and executes programs and classes that provide life-long education beyond the high-school level
- Denominational Affairs
: helps congregants to understand our identity and the benefits and responsibilities of being Unitarian Universalists through participation in the national Unitarian Universalist Association and our regional Prairie Star District, through our connection with our Partner Unitarian Church in Komjatszeg, Romania, and through participation in the Inter-Religious Council of Linn County
- Facilities
: ensures that the church building, facilities and grounds are maintained to be safe, efficient and aesthetic in the spirit of the historic nature of the Peoples Church
- Fellowship
: strives to maintain a strong and caring church community by planning and promoting fellowship activities, both intergenerational and for adults
- Finance
: oversees the short- and long-term financial health of the Peoples Church including planning the yearly budget and the annual pledge campaign
- Forum
: plans a variety of topics and speakers for the weekly Forum at 10 a.m. during the regular church year
- Membership
: seeks to welcome newcomers and help congregants become integrated into the life of the church
- Religious Education Committee
: works with the Director of Education to plan and execute religious education classes and programs for children and youth, nursery through high-school
- Values in Action
: helps congregants to live out our responsibilities to "the interdependent web of existence" through information about social justice issues and opportunities to participate in social justice projects
- Worship
: plans and executes approximately nine lay-led Sunday services throughout the year, and provides feedback and help to the minister in her planning.
