Standing on the Side of Love
Peoples Church became a Welcoming Congregation in 1996 through a vote of the congregation. Being a Welcoming Congregation is a public declaration that we welcome gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people in our church. Peoples has a longstanding tradition of not letting factors such as sexual orientation, race, age, or political persuasion separate us as they sometimes do in the larger world. Ours is a church where all who draw inspiration from an inclusive liberal religious community can find a nurturing home. We welcome diversity and affirm the inherent
